Steps to Join OneDrive Insider Preview Program
Follow below steps to join OneDrive insider preview program.
- Click on the OneDrive icon in system tray, then click the cog icon in the top right corner and choose Settings.
- Click on About and then use the toggle switch next to Get OneDrive Insider preview updates before release. Turn this toggle On to enable the OneDrive Insider program and get the preview builds.
Please note, if your PC is already enrolled in the Windows 11 Insider Program, you will be automatically added to the OneDrive Insider Program as well. In this case, the option may appear enabled and greyed out, as shown in the below screenshot.
Steps to Leave OneDrive Insider Preview Program
You can leave the program anytime by turning off the same toggle in the OneDrive app, labeled Get OneDrive Insider preview updates before release. Once set to off, you will stop receiving preview builds. However, if your PC is also enrolled in the Windows 11 Insider Program, this toggle may be disabled or greyed out. In that case, you may have to first leave the Windows Insider Program from Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program before you can exit the OneDrive Insider Program.
Depending on the channel your PC is subscribed to in the Windows 11 Insider Program, you may not be able to easily unenroll from Insider updates. In some cases, a clean reinstall or reset of the PC may be required.
